Interior dialog boxes exist between the beginning and end of the installation process and have an image header; exterior dialog boxes exist at the endpoints of the installation process and contain a larger bitmap image; both have the typical Back, Next, and Cancel buttons.

ISD files can be used to create a repository of dialog templates; they can be imported using the Dialog Wizard or the Dialog Template panel in InstallShield. .isd
