参考词汇

(1)ago,before这两个词都可表示“在若干时间以前”，但用法不同，初学者容易搞错。

(2)ago，应注意两点：(1)用于一般过去时，(2)它所指的时间是从现在算起。

A short while ago, my sister helped me to carry one of my old bookcases up the stairs.

片刻之前，我妹妹帮我把我的一个旧书柜抬上了楼。

It was stolen twenty years ago when Ted was a boy of fifteen.
